What is it about these rusty, falling apart, paint chipping off fences that attract me so?
They are old, the exteriors are falling apart but their core is withstanding time, they have been tested by every kind of weather but remain strong, they are flawed but prefect all the same, they are humble, textured, deeply colorful, vibrant, standing tall doing their duty, not complaining, just ever faithful, ever loyal and ever there.
These were taken within a couple of blocks from my house on my Saturday walk.
Amazing how rusty pipes can be so photogenic. I like the analogy to marriage that you used. You’re right, taking a walk with the kids, or doing ANYTHING with the kids does not leave much room for giving attention to anything else. I love to have Svara help me bake, but I do find that in the end I feel as if I’ve just been through a whirlwind and it’s not the relaxing activity it is if I’m just doing it by myself
Juliet…I really like the second photo. Very nice.
I love these photos
